I have tendonitis and patellofemoral tracking syndrome in my right knee, and my orthopedist and physical therapist recommended a brace like this one (with a cut-out over the knee cap) to use while exercising. I am very pleased with this two pack.
The material that the braces are made of does a nice job of wicking away sweat while you're exercising; while you will still feel some dampness under the brace, it's nothing that is too icky-feeling while you're working out.
They also wash nicely on gentle cycle in the washing machine. I use Woolite to wash them, and set them out to dry.
After a while, the softer part of the velcro that the hooks attach to has gotten a bit fuzzy, but they have held up very well, and I use mine about 5-6 days a week.
